EMDR

Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR)

EMDR is a specialized therapy that helps children, adolescents, and young adults heal from distressing experiences, such as trauma, anxiety, phobias, or upsetting memories. It works by helping the brain “reprocess” difficult memories so they become less emotionally charged and easier to manage.

During EMDR sessions, the therapist guides the client through a series of eye movements or other forms of rhythmic stimulation, while focusing on specific thoughts or memories. This helps the brain integrate the experience in a healthier way, reducing emotional distress and improving overall well-being.
